Not getting the newsletter or confirmation emails?

The Beeline used to come out around the first of the month. As of August 2023, the frequency has been cut back to occasional, with no particular set time frame. If you are concerned you are not receiving it, contact me directly at Adrienne@onceuponaconeflower.com .

It’s common for subscribers to occasionally not receive the newsletter because of their default security settings. Here’s some things to try:

  • Search “all mail” for unread newsletters with this subject line: The Beeline, From Once Upon A Coneflower for at least the past six months. If you find one or more, check to see if it’s in the trash, spam, a promotions folder, or just got overlooked.
  • Is it in your spam folder? If unread newsletters are in your spam folder, your security screen is on the highest setting and is blocking it. Find your email’s security setting and lower it by one notch (which is still very secure and will catch 99% of all spam). If you don’t want to do this, you can still prevent it from being blocked — see how in the next point below.
  • Set your email filter to “unblock” and allow incoming emails from: “Adrienne” with this address: adrienne@onceuponaconeflower.com via sendingservice.net. No matter what security you have, you should start receiving the newsletter in your inbox.
  • Business titles are not supported. If your email address includes a generic term or title such as yourdentist, topsalesman, gardengate etc., the server thinks you are a commercial entity or a bot and will not deliver the newsletter. You must use a different email, and you’ll need to re-register.
  • Please sign up again. If you can’t figure out the problem, you can try signing up again. Check your inbox immediately afterward (within 5 minutes) for a “welcome” message. This verifies that your email address is valid. Click the link inside that email to complete your registration. Then, you should get a confirmation reply saying you’re “all set”. If you don’t receive this final verification, there is a bigger problem that I can’t address here. Contact me at the email address given below, and I will arrange for a manually forwarded copy to be sent to you.

Newsletter does not display images when I open it.

For security reasons, most email programs prevent images from displaying automatically.

Simply click the link at the very top of the newsletter, “CLICK HERE to view images” or, if you have Gmail, on the blue “Display Images below” link. Nothing bad will happen! You can also choose to “Always display images from adrienne@onceuponaconeflower.com”. Any of these actions will let the images display properly.
